Our story

We are Sofia and Alessandro.

Twenty-three years ago, we didn't have a large workshop or a well-known brand. We only had a small kitchen table, a few pieces of leather, a needle, thread, and a great desire to create something with our own hands.

The first bags were born that way, one at a time. Sofia designed and sewed every detail, while Alessandro chose the materials, prepared the orders, and spoke with every customer. We never wanted to produce thousands of identical bags. We have always preferred to create a few pieces, with patience and care.

Over the years, thousands of women have chosen to carry a LunoMilano bag. Some have written to us after ten or fifteen years to tell us they were still using them every day. That is the most beautiful compliment we could have received.

In recent years, however, the world has changed. The cost of materials has increased, craftsmanship has become increasingly difficult, and competing with industrial production is no longer sustainable for a small workshop like ours.

That is why we have made a decision we never imagined we would have to make: to close the workshop permanently.

It is not a choice made lightly. It is the result of months of reflection.

Before we close our doors for the last time, we want every remaining bag to find a new home. We don't want them to sit on the shelves of an empty workshop. We prefer to know they will continue to be worn, loved, and continue telling a story.
